Quality Inspector (Contract)

Location: North Oxfordshire

We're looking for a Quality Inspector to join a fast‑paced engineering and manufacturing environment on a contract basis. This is an opportunity to contribute to industry‑leading projects focused on innovation, sustainability and high‑performance production standards.

The Role

You will play a key role in ensuring that all incoming and internally manufactured components meet specification and quality requirements. Working within the inspection facility, you'll perform goods‑receiving checks, carry out detailed inspection work, and manage non‑conforming materials through to resolution.

What You'll Be Doing

Inspect incoming goods and in‑house manufactured components to engineering drawings and inspection standards
Identify, document and communicate non‑conformances to relevant teams
Quarantine and manage non‑conforming parts, including sorting, labelling and storage
Assist with stock sweeps and containment activities when required
Maintain accurate inspection records and report findings
Manage and arrange calibration of inspection tools, fixtures and gauges
Upload ISIR documentation into the Jira ticketing system
Support capability studies and Gauge R&R activities as needed
PC-DMIS Experience a must

About You

Minimum 3 years' experience in a metrology or inspection environment
Strong inspection background ideally from motorsport, automotive or similar fast‑paced industries
Experienced with hand‑held measuring tools and digital measurement technologies (e.g. CMM, laser scanning)
Experience with CMM PC-DMIS a must
Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
Solid understanding of GD&T, metrology and appropriate gauge selection
Awareness of capability studies, Gauge R&R and relevant quality standards (ISO9001, IATF16949, AS9100)
Understanding of risk assessments and their application
