Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm

Pay: £35,703.00 - £53,835.00 per annum (FTE)
Payroll: PAYE – no umbrella fees

NOW Education is recruiting for adaptable and resilient Primary Supply Teachers to support a specialist SEMH school in Shenstone, Lichfield. This flexible opportunity is ideal for teachers seeking a better work-life balance while making a meaningful difference in a specialist educational setting.

The school provides a nurturing environment for pupils with SEMH needs, many of whom have experienced trauma, disrupted education, or behavioural challenges. Due to ongoing staffing requirements, the school is looking for reliable supply teachers who can provide high-quality teaching, consistency and positive support when required.

The Role

As a Flexible SEMH Primary Supply Teacher, you will deliver pre-planned lessons and provide continuity of learning across primary classes. You will support pupils' academic progress, emotional wellbeing and behaviour while maintaining a calm, structured and trauma-informed classroom environment.

This role offers flexibility to work around your availability, with opportunities for day-to-day, short-term and potentially long-term.

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum

* Adapt teaching to meet a range of SEMH and SEND needs

* Manage behaviour using positive, consistent and trauma-informed approaches

* Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils

* Support pupils’ emotional wellbeing and readiness to learn

* Work closely with teaching assistants, SEN staff and pastoral teams

* Maintain a safe, inclusive and structured learning environment

What We’re Looking For

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

* Primary-trained teacher with strong knowledge of the National Curriculum

* Experience working with SEND, particularly SEMH pupils

* A trauma-informed approach to teaching and behaviour

* Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills

* Reliable, consistent and committed with good attendance

* A calm, patient and resilient teaching style

* A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
