Key Responsibilities
As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will:
Carry out planned preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
Diagnose and rectify faults on production and site equipment
Work on extruders, thermoformers, compressors, conveyors, pumps and HVAC systems
Assist with machinery installations and commissioning
Complete maintenance reports and documentation
Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement projects
Manage spare parts and inventory levels
Work closely with production teams and contractors
What we're looking for
To be successful in this Mechanical Maintenance Engineer role in Poole, you'll need:
A recognised mechanical qualification (City & Guilds, ONC or HNC)
Experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong Mechanical Engineering knowledge
Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and HVAC systems
Knowledge of PPM systems
Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skillsDesirable skills include welding, fabrication and abrasive wheels training.
This role operates on a Panama shift pattern, covering days, nights and weekends, averaging 42 hours per week.
