Working closely with the Education Manager, you will play a key role in the effective day-to-day management of the education department, ensuring the smooth running of operations, supporting staff performance, and helping learners achieve outstanding outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Education Manager with the daily operational management of the department
Assist with staff deployment, timetabling, and resource management
Ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment are maintained
Support curriculum delivery to meet the needs of learners, the prison environment, and organisational objectives
Monitor learner progress, achievement, and attendance
Provide leadership, guidance, and support to teaching staff

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

Experience within education leadership or management
A recognised teaching qualification
Strong organisational and communication skills
The ability to motivate and support teams effectively
Experience of quality assurance and learner achievement monitoring
A proactive and solution-focused approach
A passion for supporting learners to achieve their full potentialExperience within prison education or alternative learning environments would be advantageous, although not essential
