Service Manager - Learning Disabilties
This opportunity is based within a 5-bed supported living setting for adults with learning disabilities, behaviours of concern, and complex or dual-diagnosis needs. Individuals are encouraged to take part in both in-house and community-based activities that promote wellbeing, confidence, and social connection.
As the Service Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the service, ensuring high standards of care, compliance, team leadership, and operational performance. Reporting to a senior operational leader, you will work closely with colleagues, external professionals, and stakeholders to create positive outcomes for the people supported and the wider team.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the daily operations of a supported living service.
Ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred care and support.
Promote a positive service culture focused on quality, independence, and inclusion.
Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
Monitor service quality through audits and action plans etc.
Manage staffing levels, rotas, occupancy, and allocated budgets effectively.
Requirements
Previous leadership or management experience within adult social care.
Sound understanding of social care legislation, compliance, and regulatory frameworks.
Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities, mental health needs, acquired brain injury, or complex behaviours.
Experience managing budgets, staffing, rota planning, and service performance data.
Experience conducting audits and implementing quality improvement plans.
