JRS Associates have partnered up with a precision engineering and manufacturing business to recruit an experienced HSE Manager to lead and develop the company’s Health, Safety & Environmental function. This is a senior leadership opportunity focused on driving a proactive “Safety First” culture, ensuring full legal compliance, and supporting safe, efficient manufacturing operations within a technically advanced engineering environment.

The Successful HSE Manager - Package:

* £55,000 per annum

* Senior leadership role reporting directly into the Managing Director

* Long-term, stable opportunity within a well-established engineering manufacturer

* Opportunity to shape and improve HSE systems across a growing engineering business

* Highly autonomous role with genuine influence across operations

* Excellent long-term progression opportunities

The Successful HSE Manager - Requirements:

* Minimum 3–5 years’ experience within an HSE role in a manufacturing, engineering, or high-risk industrial environment

* Strong understanding of UK HSE legislation and environmental compliance

* Experience implementing and maintaining ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 systems

* Proven experience leading accident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions

* Experience with COSHH, Permit to Work systems, contractor management, and risk assessments

* Strong knowledge of hazardous and non-hazardous waste management

* Experience leading customer audits, regulatory inspections, and compliance activities

* Ability to drive behavioural safety initiatives and promote a strong HSE culture throughout production environments

* NEBOSH General Certificate or Diploma essential

* Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the business

* Strong reporting, KPI monitoring, and HSE governance experience

* Previous experience within precision engineering, fabrication, machining, or manufacturing environments highly advantageous

* Exposure to Process Safety Management (PSM), HAZOPs, DSEAR, and Management of Change (MoC) desirable
