About the Opportunity

A growing and well-established technology services provider is seeking an ambitious and commercially minded B2B Account Manager to join its Northampton-based team. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who thrives on building long-term client relationships, delivering consultative sales solutions, and driving account growth within a fast-paced commercial environment.

The business delivers a broad portfolio of services including managed IT support, cloud solutions, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and business technology services to organisations across a range of sectors. You’ll play a key role in managing existing customer relationships, identifying new revenue opportunities, and ensuring exceptional service delivery to maximise retention and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and develop a portfolio of existing B2B client accounts
Identify and secure new business opportunities through proactive outbound activity
Build strong relationships and act as the primary contact for customers
Understand client needs and recommend tailored business solutions
Produce quotations, proposals, and service agreements
Negotiate pricing and contract terms to support business growth and profitability
Maintain accurate CRM records and account activity updates
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery
Monitor customer satisfaction and resolve issues proactively
Achieve monthly targets relating to revenue, margin, and retention
Keep up to date with industry trends, competitor activity, and market developmentsRequirements

2–3 years’ experience within account management, business development, or B2B sales
Proven success in managing and growing customer accounts
Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
Strong organisational and time-management abilities
Experience using CRM platforms and Microsoft Office
Self-motivated with a target-driven approach
Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
Full UK driving licence preferredDesirable Experience

Background within IT services, managed services, professional services, or commercial sales
Experience in consultative or solution-based selling
Exposure to managing high-value client accounts
