Location: Greenwich

Start Date: ASAP and September 2026

Hourly Rate: £16 - £18 per hour

Contract: Full-time, term time only (agency to permanent opportunity) working 7.45am to 4.15pm.

Remedy is working with a welcoming and well-organised Secondary school seeking an experienced and resilient Administrative Assistant to join their team. This is a front-facing, fast-paced role with the opportunity to transition from agency to a permanent position.

The Role

You will play a key role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the school office, working closely with senior leaders. Acting as the first point of contact for parents, staff and visitors, you will maintain a professional and welcoming environment while managing a wide range of administrative responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality administrative and secretarial support to senior leadership
Manage complex diaries, meetings, and school communications
Coordinate supply staff and daily cover arrangements
Handle enquiries via phone, email and in person with professionalism and efficiency
Maintain accurate records and data using school systems - Arbour
Support HR processes including recruitment administration and compliance checks
Assist with pupil admissions, records and general office organisation
Contribute to safeguarding and compliance procedures at all timesThe Ideal Candidate

Proven experience in a busy school office environment
Need to have SIMS, Bromcom or Arbor experience
Highly organised with excellent multitasking and time management skills
Resilient and calm under pressure in a fast-paced setting
Strong communication skills and confident dealing with a range of stakeholders
Experience managing diaries and coordinating staffing/cover arrangements
Strong IT skills and ability to learn new systems quickly
