Role: Senior Project Planner

Location: Bristol(2-3days/week)

Duration: 6 months

Inside IR35: Umbrella

The role is responsible for creating, managing and analysing portfolio-level schedules that combine bids, opportunities and strategic initiatives, providing resource-informed planning insights to support leadership decisions on prioritisation, scheduling, feasibility and sequencing.

Working within established planning frameworks and guidance, the role focuses on enabling informed decision-making through planning support, rather than taking ownership of delivery execution or contractual obligations.

Resource Awareness & Utilisation Forecasting
Scenario Planning & Option Analysis
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
Forecasting & Management Information
Planning Assurance & Continuous Improvement

Experience :

Demonstrable experience in project planning, scheduling or project controls within a structured delivery environment
Experience developing and maintaining integrated schedules with logical sequencing and clearly articulated assumptions
Experience supporting bids, opportunities or early‑lifecycle planning activities, including schedule development for decision‑making
Experience working with resource‑driven planning assumptions to support feasibility, prioritisation or utilisation forecasting
Experience producing scenario‑based planning outputs, including what‑if analysis and option comparison
Experience engaging with multi‑disciplinary stakeholders to gather planning inputs and communicate schedule implications clearly
Experience operating within a matrix management environment, balancing functional standards with operational priorities
Proficient in the use of planning tools such as P6 and MS Project
APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or equivalent level of project planning knowledgeDue to the nature of the work carried out at our client's site, these roles are subject to specific nationality requirements and are only open to sole British citizens. Candidates who meet this criterion will also be required to undergo security clearance vetting.
