This role is based within the MSK Outpatient Physiotherapy Department at George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust and offers the opportunity to work as part of a specialist team. Responsibilities include supporting and supervising junior staff and students, contributing to service development and clinical standards, demonstrating leadership, and working flexibly across a 7-day service as required.

As a Specialist Physiotherapist, you will deliver autonomous specialist care, assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with complex musculoskeletal needs. The role includes developing and reviewing treatment plans, adapting interventions based on patient progress, maintaining accurate clinical records, managing risk, and ensuring safe, effective practice. You will use strong communication skills to support patients and carers, contribute to multidisciplinary team working, and participate in the out-of-hours physiotherapy rota as required.

Responsibilities of this job role:

* Maintain and develop professional competence through continuous professional development and reflective practice.

* Participate in performance reviews, identify learning needs, and work towards agreed development goals.

* Support team learning by sharing knowledge and promoting best practice.

* Contribute to quality improvement and service development through clinical review and innovation.

* Assist with collecting operational data to support service delivery requirements.

* Maintain safe practice across clinical settings using sound judgement, resilience, and situational awareness.

What you’ll need:

• HCPC registered Physiotherapist.
• Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent qualification.
• Experience working in MSK outpatient or relevant specialist clinical setting.
• Evidence of CPD and commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Experience working within multidisciplinary teams and supporting service improvement.
