Job: Key Stage 2 Teacher

Location: Primary Academy, Lewisham, Southeast London

Annual Salary: M1 - M6 Inner London

Start date: September 2026

Contract: Permanent, full-time (temporary to permanent option available)

Aston Education is working with an Ofsted Good 1-form entry Primary Academy in Lewisham (inner London), looking for a permanent full-time Key Stage 2 Teacher. The preferred year group is Year 4, although this can be discussed.

Responsibilities include:

As a Key Stage 2 Teacher, you'll create an engaging learning environment and enable all children to achieve the best outcomes possible. You'll deliver high-quality education in line with the KS2 National Curriculum.

The role requires careful monitoring of pupil progress, with timely intervention to ensure excellent learning outcomes and positive behaviour. You will also provide pastoral support, fostering a nurturing environment that promotes the personal, social, and emotional development of all pupils.

This Ofsted Good 1-form entry Primary Academy aims to ensure each child reaches their maximum potential academically and socially by providing engaging lessons through the wide range of opportunities on offer within their curriculum.

Qualifications, experience, and skills required include:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Good honours degree in a relevant discipline
Experience teaching KS2, preferably Year 4
Good knowledge of the National Curriculum on KS2
Proven track record as an excellent classroom practitioner with evidence of sustained good pupil progress
Proven experience of inclusion and ability to engage all learners
