Assembly Operative

Location: Bolton
Salary: £35,685.85
Hours: 4 days per week Mon - Thurs, 37 hours

Introduction

ES Recruit are currently recruiting for an Assembly Operative to join our client's Operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for a practical and motivated individual with assembly or manufacturing experience to join a well-established engineering environment offering long-term stability and development opportunities.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for re-assembling doors and associated products using supplied components and materials, ensuring all finished products meet required quality standards and are ready for customer delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Re-assemble doors and products to engineering drawings using stock parts and materials
Fit custom components and insulation materials using hand tools and associated equipment
Finish products to the required quality standards for final delivery
Complete product documentation in line with project requirements
Support manual handling activities where required
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
Report any risks, hazards, or quality concerns to supervisors

Essential Skills & Experience

Experience using hand tools and measuring equipment
Ability to follow assembly drawings and fitting instructions
Strong organisational and time management skills
Good understanding of health & safety procedures
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable

Previous experience within steel door manufacturing or a similar environment
Knowledge of door hardware and locking systems
Understanding of continuous improvement principles
FLT licence advantageous
