CNC Setter Operator Miller

Base salary: £38,000 - 40,000 Shift Allowance

Shift allowance: 16.6% – Monday to Friday – Earlies and Lates

Alternate 2 week shift pattern 6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm - 39 Hours

Location: Birmingham

We are looking for an experienced CNC Setter / Operator / Miller to join a fast-paced precision engineering environment. You’ll set and run CNC machines to produce high-quality components to strict tolerances.

CNC Setter/ Operator Key Responsibilities

Set and operate CNC Milling machines efficiently
The CNC Setter/ Operator will read engineering drawings and use Fanuc Controls
Inspect parts using measuring equipment (CMM, micrometres, verniers)
Monitor machine performance and report faults
Support continuous improvement and quality standardsCNC Setter/ Operator Requirements

Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with CNC setting/operating experience – Any programming knowledge ideal
Knowledge of multi-axis or 5-axis machining – Mazak & Matsuura Preferred
The CNC Machinist - Setter/ Operator will need to have controls experience with FANUC (preferred) or Mazatrol
Strong understanding of engineering drawings
Ability to work independently and maintain high quality standards
High Variety Low Volume experience preferred
