Assembly Operative
Grantham, Full Time (Day Shift, Monday to Friday), Permanent

Our Grantham based Client is looking to appoint an Assembly Operative on a full time, permanent basis. The Assembly Operative will be based within the Operations team and will assist with organising workflow and the day to day duties within a busy workshop. This role offers an excellent opportunity for developing a career in a progressive, global company.
The Role
The main areas of responsibility for the Assembly Operative will include the following:
* Manufacture of a range of products from technical drawings and schematics.
* Hands on duties such as include welding, cutting, drilling, assembly work, cable crimping and some wiring.
* Operating and training other users in the use of production equipment.
* Operating lifting equipment.
* Collecting and delivering materials if required, forklift license would be desirable.
* Occasional property maintenance maybe required.
* Ensuring all work processes are completed to a high standard including keeping the workshop clean to avoid hazards & maintaining the company’s health & safety and quality guidelines.
The Candidate
The successful Assembly Operative will be able to demonstrate:
* Previous similar experience.
* Proven experience in MIG welding desirable.
* Sling and lifting experience desirable.
* Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
* Experience using grinders, cutting equipment and general fabrication tools.
* Strong practical and mechanical skills.
* Knowledge of safety rules and precautionary measures (PPE provided).
* Good communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
