Mechanical QA/QC Lead – Major M&E Projects

Ready to lead quality across large-scale mechanical projects?

We’re looking for a Mechanical QA/QC Lead to join King & Moffatt Building Services and play a key role in driving quality, compliance, and successful project handover across our mechanical installations.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical QA/QC professional who is passionate about quality standards, commissioning, inspections, and delivering projects right first time.

Job Description

What you’ll be doing

Leading QA/QC activities across mechanical building services projects

Carrying out site inspections and quality audits across installations

Ensuring works are completed in line with project specifications, drawings, and company standards

Managing mechanical inspection test plans (ITPs), QA checklists, and quality records

Supporting compilation and review of mechanical test packs and commissioning documentation

Managing and tracking NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and close-out actions

Coordinating snagging activities and ensuring timely resolution of defects

Supporting mechanical commissioning and handover activities

Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Site Teams, and subcontractors

Maintaining accurate QA documentation using digital QA platforms

Supporting client inspections, audits, and quality meetings

Promoting a strong culture of quality, compliance, and continuous improvement across projects

Qualifications

What we’re looking for

* Previous experience in a Mechanical QA/QC, Mechanical Engineer, or Quality role within Building Services / M&E

* Strong understanding of mechanical systems, installations, and commissioning processes

* Experience working on large-scale commercial, industrial, or Data Centre projects desirable

* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

* Knowledge of QA/QC procedures, ITPs, and handover documentation

* Full driving licence desirable
