We are working in partnership with a large and highly regarded specialist SEND school to recruit an experienced and passionate KS1 SEND Primary Teacher.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher who is committed to inclusive education and has a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs to achieve their full potential.
The school supports pupils with a range of complex needs including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), communication and interaction difficulties, speech and language needs, and associated learning challenges. The successful candidate will join a dedicated and supportive multidisciplinary team within a well-resourced specialist setting.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils’ individual learning needs.
* Create a nurturing and structured classroom environment that supports learning and emotional wellbeing.
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and families to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
* Monitor pupil progress and contribute to EHCP targets and reviews.
* Use effective behaviour support strategies and communication approaches appropriate to SEND learners.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* Experience teaching within a primary or SEND setting.
* Strong understanding of autism and additional learning needs.
* Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
* A patient, adaptable, and compassionate approach.
* Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.
