Currently recruiting a Head of Finance & College Accountant for our Cambridge based client. You will lead a high-performing finance function and provide a full range of financial services across the organisation.
Reporting into the Senior Bursar, you’ll take a senior leadership role, overseeing statutory and management accounting, strengthening financial controls and systems, and supporting longer-term financial strategy. You’ll also manage and develop a finance team of eight and work closely with budget holders across the organisation.
Key responsibilities
Lead the finance team and day-to-day finance operations
Deliver statutory accounts, management accounts and high-quality financial reporting
Own financial planning, budgeting and forecasting
Ensure effective controls, processes and compliance
Partner with stakeholders to improve financial insight and decision-making.
You will hold a recognised accountancy qualification ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent, have Strong experience producing statutory accounts, charity/not-for-profit experience preferred. Exposure to subsidiary statutory accounts, advanced Excel skills and proven people management experience and strong stakeholder communication.
