Academics are recruiting on behalf of a small Special School in Waterlooville, Hampshire who are seeking compassionate and hardworking Special Needs Assistant's to join them in September.
This lovely school caters for children aged 2-19 years with severe and profound multiple learning difficulties (SLD, PMLD). They provide a personalised approach to teaching and learning, a rich curriculum and a dedicated interventions team to support well-being
This is a temp to perm/possible direct permanent position starting in September on a full-time, term-time contract, working 30 hours per week, 8.45am - 3.15pm.
As a Special Needs Assistant you will be required to support students across the school who have diverse learning, communication, and health needs. Due to the varying level of their needs you will be required to support with personal care and feeding duties, support wheelchair users and students who require medical support. All training will be providing.
The successful Special Needs Assistant will be someone who is kind, empathetic, engaging and happy to get stuck in. You will be joining a fantastic team of SNA's and SEN Teachers who make a meaningful difference in their lives.
The suitable Special Needs Assistant will possess a strong desire to work with children with complex and severe learning needs. Experience of working in an SEN school or within a care setting would be an advantage, although not essential.
