Department Manager - Horti

Department Manager required to oversee the outdoor plants area for an established garden centre near Beverley.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the UK's fastest growing garden centre groups as the Horticulture / Outdoor Plant Manager. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong plant knowledge, retail experience, and a passion for creating inspiring outdoor displays.

What you’ll do as a Horti Department Manager:

* Lead and motivate a small team

* Oversee the outdoor plant area, ensuring excellent presentation and stock care

* Share your horticultural expertise with customers and colleagues

* Drive sales and deliver outstanding customer service

* Create engaging, commercial plant displays

What you’ll bring to the role:

We are looking for someone who has a passion for plants and enjoys sharing their knowledge of horticulture with staff and customers. A keen eye for detail and a flair for merchandising would be an asset in this role as you will be responsible for the layout and day to day running of the department.

* Strong horticultural knowledge and love of gardening

* Retail management or garden centre experience

* A creative eye for merchandising

* Confident people‑management skills

* A proactive, customer‑focused approach
