Sub Agent

Carmichael UK is currently recruiting for an experienced Sub Agent to join a Tier 1 contractor delivering a major highways project in Norfolk. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role on a high-profile infrastructure scheme within a well-established delivery team.

The successful candidate will support the management and coordination of site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to programme.

Key Responsibilities:

Assisting with the day-to-day management of site activities and subcontractors

Supporting the delivery of highways works in line with programme and budget

Ensuring health, safety, environmental, and quality standards are maintained

Managing site documentation, permits, RAMS, and progress reporting

Coordinating engineering and construction activities across work packages

Liaising with project teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery

Requirements:

Proven experience working as a Sub Agent on highways or major infrastructure projects

Strong background delivering highways works including drainage, earthworks, structures, or surfacing

Experience working with Tier 1 contractors preferred

Good understanding of NEC contracts and project delivery processes

Strong leadership and communication skills

SMSTS and CSCS certification essential

Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or related discipline preferred
