Production Planner

Fulltime – Permanent – Up to £42,000 DOE – M-F – Flexi Time

My client is looking for an experienced Production Planner to join a busy manufacturing operation on a permanent basis. This is a site-based role working closely with operations, engineering and supply chain teams to ensure production schedules and customer demands are achieved efficiently.

The Role:

· Create and maintain production schedules based on customer demand, material availability and production capacity.

· Monitor workflow and adjust schedules to minimise delays and production bottlenecks.

· Liaise daily with operations, engineering and materials teams to ensure production targets are met.

· Review forecasts, production data and inventory levels to support planning activity.

· Work closely with internal stakeholders to manage priorities and delivery expectations.

· Support continuous improvement activity focused on reducing waste and improving efficiency.

· Maintain accurate production and work-in-progress records through ERP systems.

· Assist with new product introductions and changes to manufacturing plans where required.

The Person:

· Previous experience within a production planning, scheduling or manufacturing coordination role.

· Strong understanding of manufacturing environments and production processes.

· Experience using ERP/MRP systems alongside strong Microsoft Excel skills.

· Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage changing priorities.

· Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with multiple departments.

· Analytical and solutions-focused approach.

· Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles would be advantageous.

· Either degree qualified within a relevant discipline or possess equivalent industry experience.
