An exciting opportunity for an experienced Shift Manager has become available for a large manufacturing company based in Barnoldswick.

Role Purpose:

To manage all aspects of the business on shift ensuring all departments and teams work effectively and efficiently as one group. Identify skills gaps, products meet the correct specification on time at the lowest cost across four shifts and meeting all agreed KPIs.

Main Duties:

· Successful shift changeovers to maximise teamwork across all shifts

· Responsible for shift maintenance

· The organisation and management of all personnel on shift

· Lease with planning to produce requirements whilst maximising efficiency & quality

· Utilise and report weekly on all departmental KPI’s, issues and improvements

· Ensure employee and contractor compliance with all Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.

· Identify skills gaps & risks and ensure training requirements are proactively implemented

· To administer the appropriate level of action in relation to the non-compliance of company policies & procedures

· Investigate any incidents or accidents to competition of all required improvements

· Take lead and support, audits, stock takes, site checks and improvements from external contractors

· Assist in the control of stores and spare parts, maintaining accurate, cost affective stocks and usage

· Continuously improve all areas of the business, utilising 6s and other formalised CI processes

Qualifications & Skills:

· Minimum 5 years of experience in a supervisory management support role

· NVQ level 3 or equivalent in supervisory management or equivalent training courses

· Knowledge of employment law & grievance and disciplinary procedures

· Must be able to give instructions to a cross section of people and work under pressure

· CI experience

· Excellent computer skills

· Excellent numeracy skills and ability to understand and use all departmental figures and targets

Working hours:

· Rotating shifts: 6am to 2pm/ 2pm to 10pm, Monday to Thursday. 6am to 1pm/ 1pm to 9pm Friday.

Remuneration:

· Salary £43,000 plus £1602 shift allowance

· 10% annual bonus

· 26 days holiday plus BH

· Company pension
