Technical Services Manager (Mechanical or Electrical) - Healthcare
Location: Ilford | Chadwell Heath | East London

We're working with a well-established facilities management provider to recruit a Technical Services Manager for a busy healthcare site in East London. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be responsible for ensuring engineering services are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard in a critical environment.

You'll take ownership of day-to-day technical operations, acting as the go-to specialist for your discipline while supporting and developing the on-site engineering team. The role requires a balance of technical expertise, people management, and operational oversight, with a strong focus on compliance and service delivery.

Key responsibilities will include:

Leading technical service delivery across the site
Acting as the subject matter expert for either Mechanical or Electrical services
Managing engineers and specialist subcontractors
Overseeing planned and reactive maintenance activities
Ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and healthcare standards (HTM)
Managing work in progress, reporting, and overall performance
Driving continuous improvement across engineering operations
This opportunity would suit someone who has experience in a similar Technical Services or M&E Manager position within a facilities management or building services environment, ideally with exposure to healthcare or critical sites. Strong communication skills and the ability to lead from the front are essential.
