Role: Pre-Construction Manager
Lead the pre-construction phase of passive fire protection projects, ensuring full planning, coordination, and commercial viability before site delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead pre-construction across multiple projects
* Carry out feasibility, risk assessments, and programme planning
* Review designs for compliance with fire safety regulations
* Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors
* Produce cost plans, budgets (£2–5m projects), and forecasts
* Prepare key documentation (method statements, PQPs, ITPs, compliance matrices)
* Support tenders and bids with technical/commercial input
* Identify risks and value engineering opportunities
* Manage subcontractor and supplier evaluation
Requirements
* Experience in pre-construction, estimating, or project coordination
* Background in fire protection or construction
* Knowledge of fire doors, compartmentation, and fire stopping
* Strong commercial and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to produce project documentation and cost plans
* UK driving licence
Salary & Benefits
* £40,000 - £60,000 per annum
