Production Operative (FLT Counterbalance)
Starting Salary: £13.00 per hour + overtime & attendance bonus!
Working hours: Regular Day Shift, 8am to 5pm or 6am to 3pm Monday to Friday.
This is a 12 week Temp to Perm position.
We are looking for a reliable and motivated Production Operative to join a busy manufacturing and materials handling environment. This role requires a valid FLT Counterbalance licence and a strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate machinery and support production processes to meet daily output targets
Safely use a Counterbalance Forklift Truck (FLT) to move, load, and unload materials and finished products
Carry out quality checks to ensure products meet required standards
Support general site operations including housekeeping and material handling
Work collaboratively with team members to maintain smooth production flow
Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures at all times
Report any faults, hazards, or production issues to supervisors promptly
Requirements:
Valid FLT Counterbalance licence (essential)
Previous experience in a production, manufacturing, or industrial environment (preferred)
Good awareness of health & safety practices
Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
Reliable, punctual, and willing to take on varied tasks
Physically fit due to the nature of the role
