Accounts Assistant

Ascent Recruitment is pleased to be exclusively partnering with a growing business in Wilmslow to recruit an Accounts Assistant.

This is a great opportunity to join a close-knit finance team in a varied, hands-on role supporting the day-to-day running of the finance function.

Working closely with an experienced CFO, the successful candidate will receive mentoring and development with a clear pathway towards a future Management Accountant position.

Key responsibilities:

* Purchase ledger processing and invoice coding

* Bank postings and reconciliations

* Supporting month-end and management accounts

* Supplier statement reconciliations

* Managing the finance inbox and queries

* Liaising with customers and suppliers

* Assisting with day-to-day finance administration

* Working to deadlines in a fast-paced environment

What they’re looking for:

* Experience processing purchase invoices

* Bank and supplier reconciliation experience

* Strong organisational skills

* Previous experience working within an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role

* Sage50 experience would be advantageous

* AAT studies would be beneficial but not essential

* Experience supporting the month-end process (a nice-to-have)
