Role
We are looking for a motivated Graduate Geotechnical Engineer to join their growing team in Newark. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to develop technical skills, gain hands-on experience and work on a diverse range of projects across infrastructure, commercial, and residential developments.
Responsibilities
Assist with site investigations, including planning and supervising ground investigations
Interpret geotechnical data and prepare factual and interpretive reports
Support design work involving foundations, slopes, retaining structures, and ground improvement
Liaise with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams
Conduct site visits to monitor ground conditions and construction progress
Ensure compliance with relevant standards and health & safety regulations
About
Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology, or similar
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good report writing and communication skills
A proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning
Full UK driving licence
Desirable
Knowledge of geotechnical software (e.g. GeoStudio, PLAXIS, or similar)
Understanding of UK ground investigation standards (BS5930, Eurocode 7)
Previous internship or placement experience
