The Planner will be a key member of the production team, responsible for planning and coordinating shop-floor activity to ensure materials are available at the right time and in the right place. The role focuses on creating executable production plans that consider capacity, support customer delivery requirements, and drive continuous improvement in planning processes.

Key Responsibilities

Prioritize materials and issues across Goods In, Stores, Dispatch, Purchasing and Engineering
Liaise with Purchasing to confirm material availability and quality of supply
Control material traceability throughout the shop floor
Raise, manage and close Works Orders in line with MRP
Review and action MRP exception messages
Align with Operations to support sales forecasting and site planning
Maintain MRP parameters in line with company policies
Communicate proactively with Customer Services regarding updates, issues and resolutions
Work within a cross-functional team to meet customer and delivery targets
Demonstrate an understanding of regulated manufacturing traceability requirements (e.g. aerospace / medical)
