The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting on behalf of one of our well-established partner schools in Wokingham, which is looking for a passionate and committed Teacher of Psychology or Sociology to join their team on a full-time basis from September 2026.

The Role

You will teach Psychology and/or Sociology across Key Stages 4 and 5 (GCSE and A-Level), delivering engaging, well-planned lessons that inspire curiosity and develop students' analytical skills. The department is well-resourced, and you will be supported by an experienced Head of Department and a team of specialist teachers.

Key responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Psychology and/or Sociology

Assess, monitor, and report on student progress

Contribute to curriculum development and departmental resources

Support the wider school ethos, including extracurricular activities where appropriate

About You

The successful candidate will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - ECTs are very welcome to apply

Have a relevant degree in Psychology, Sociology, or a related social science

Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for teaching

Be committed to raising attainment and inspiring young people

Work well within a team and contribute positively to school life
