A highly regarded development and construction consultancy based in Central London is seeking a commercially focused Monitoring Surveyor to join its specialist advisory team. This is a unique opportunity for a Monitoring Surveyor to work on high-value residential, mixed-use, and regeneration schemes across London, acting on behalf of banks, lenders, and private investors. The Monitoring Surveyor will play a critical role in safeguarding project performance, reviewing risk exposure, and ensuring developments remain financially and operationally on track. The Monitoring Surveyor's role

The Monitoring Surveyor will manage fund monitoring instructions across a range of development projects from pre-construction through to practical completion. The Monitoring Surveyor will assess procurement strategies, project programmes, development appraisals, and construction risks while producing detailed monitoring reports for lenders and stakeholders. As a Monitoring Surveyor, you will undertake regular site visits, review drawdown requests, and advise clients on cost, programme, and risk management matters. The Monitoring Surveyor will work closely with developers, contractors, and professional teams to ensure projects remain aligned with funding expectations and commercial objectives.

The Monitoring Surveyor

The ideal Monitoring Surveyor will have 4+ years' experience within quantity surveying, development consultancy, or project monitoring. A Monitoring Surveyor should possess strong commercial awareness and a solid understanding of development finance, procurement, and construction delivery. Experience producing monitoring reports or advising lenders would be advantageous for this Monitoring Surveyor role. A degree in Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, or a related discipline is preferred, with MRICS or APC progression viewed positively. The Monitoring Surveyor will be analytical, confident communicating with stakeholders, and comfortable operating in a client-facing environment.
