Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking compassionate, resilient, and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to work in a highly supportive Special Educational Needs school in Brent.
This specialist setting supports children and young people aged 3-19 with a range of complex needs including severe learning difficulties (SLD), physical disabilities, autism, and additional medical needs. The school provides a nurturing and inclusive environment where every pupil is encouraged to develop independence, communication skills, and confidence.
We are looking for individuals who are patient, adaptable, and passionate about making a genuine difference in the lives of children with additional needs.
The Role:
Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
Assisting the class teacher with tailored learning activities
Encouraging communication, engagement, and social development
Supporting pupils with personal care where required
Using sensory approaches, visual aids, and communication tools
Working closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff
Promoting a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience working with children or young people with SEN (preferred but not essential)
A calm, caring, and patient nature
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for inclusive education
The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
Confidence supporting children with complex learning needs and disabilities
A willingness to learn and develop within a specialist setting
