Job Role:SEN Teacher
Location: Waltham Forest

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join our specialist provision. The successful candidate will support pupils with a range of additional needs, creating a safe, structured and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching a primary SEN class with learning adapted to individual needs
Planning lessons that focus on engagement, routine and achievable progress
Supporting emotional regulation and promoting positive behaviour
Working collaboratively with TAs, therapists and the SENCO
Creating a safe, predictable and nurturing classroom environment
Monitoring progress and maintaining accurate records
Communicating effectively with parents, carers and external professionals

What We’re Looking For

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)
Experience working with SEND or in specialist/inclusive settings
Strong understanding of behaviour, regulation and differentiation
A patient, resilient and team‑focused approach
Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
