We are partnering with a highly respected sustainability and engineering consultancy to recruit a talented Building Physics Consultant for their growing Swindon team.

This opportunity is ideal for someone passionate about building performance, low-carbon design, and creating more sustainable developments. You'll work closely with architects, MEP engineers, and design teams, helping shape projects from early-stage concept through to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

As a Building Physics Consultant, you will:

Carry out dynamic thermal modelling and environmental analysis using IES VE
Support the delivery of Net Zero Carbon and operational energy strategies
Provide guidance on compliance with Part L, Part O, TM52/TM59, EPCs, TM54/NABERS, and Passive House standards
Contribute to sustainability assessments and modelling for BREEAM credits
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary project teams to influence sustainable design decisions
Produce technical reports and analysis to support planning and compliance requirements
Stay up to date with industry legislation, standards, and emerging best practices

About You

To be considered, you should have:

A degree in Building Services Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Physics, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related discipline
Around 2-4 years' experience within building physics or sustainability consultancy
Strong experience using IES VE software
A solid understanding of sustainable building design and building performance analysis
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
A genuine passion for sustainability and low-carbon design
