Location: Bellshill
Salary: £47,970 + Excellent Benefits
Shift Pattern: Rotating (Monday – Friday)
• Week 1: 06:00 – 15:30
• Week 2: 10:00 – 19:30

The Role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced HGV Technician to join a well-established and growing commercial vehicle operation based in Bellshill. You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a varied fleet of commercial vehicles, including specialist municipal equipment such as refuse collection vehicles (RCVs). Full specialist training will be provided where required.

Key Responsibilities of the HGV Technician

• Carry out routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on HGVs
• Prepare vehicles for MOT inspection and undertake MOT work
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to a high standard
• Attend breakdowns when required
• Complete all relevant job cards and compliance paperwork
• Ensure all work is carried out in line with Health & Safety regulations

Requirements of the HGV Technician

• Previous experience as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Engineer
• NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance
• Experience working on commercial vehicles
• Municipal / refuse vehicle experience (desirable, not essential)
• Class 2 Licence (preferred)
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures
