A supportive and inclusive primary school in Lambeth is seeking a dedicated PPA / Intervention Teacher to work within their specialist Autism Base. This rewarding role is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and delivering targeted interventions that help children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
The Role
The successful candidate will:
Provide PPA cover across the Autism Base and specialist provision
Deliver targeted intervention sessions tailored to individual pupil needs
Support pupils with communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation
Work collaboratively with class teachers, SEN staff, therapists, and teaching assistants
Adapt learning activities using visual supports, sensory strategies, and structured routines
Build positive relationships with pupils and promote engagement in learningThe Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Has experience working with children with autism and additional needs
Understands strategies such as PECS, visual timetables, and sensory regulation approaches
Is patient, adaptable, and confident working across different age groups
Has strong classroom and behaviour management skills
