The Role
As the Payroll Executive, you will manage a varied portfolio of clients, ensuring payrolls are processed accurately and on time. Your responsibilities will include:
Payroll processing for weekly, fortnightly and monthly cycles
Auto‑enrolment and pension submissions
RTI submissions to HMRC
Handling statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP etc.)
Managing client queries and providing friendly, professional support
Maintaining accurate payroll records and ensuring compliance with UK legislation
About You
We're looking for someone who brings both expertise and personality to the team:
Experience in bureau payroll or practice‑based payroll
Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation
Confident using payroll software (BrightPay, Sage, Iris or similar)
Excellent communication skills and a positive, team‑oriented approach
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
