As a SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support a pupil's academic, social, and emotional development. You will help the pupil access the curriculum, develop confidence, and engage positively with learning through tailored and consistent support.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one support to a pupil with special educational needs.

Support learning, communication, and emotional regulation.

Implement individual support strategies and interventions.

Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.

Work collaboratively with teaching staff and SEN professionals.

Ensure safeguarding, inclusion, and well-being are prioritised at all times.

Requirements:

Experience supporting children with SEN or additional needs.

A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.

Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Ability to follow support plans and adapt to pupils' needs.

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
