Prospero Teaching are recruiting for a full-time Science Teacher (any specialism) to join a high-performing secondary school in Stockport, starting June 2026, on a long-term/temp to perm basis, until at least the end of the summer term.

Teacher of Science - Stockport

Pay: £ 168- £260 per day (depending on experience)

Contract: Full-time, Long-term, temp to perm.

Start: 1st June 2026

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher (any specialism) to join a thriving and supportive school community in Stockport.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher or an ECT looking to begin their teaching career in a well-resourced, forward-thinking environment.

As a Teacher of Science, you will play a key role in inspiring and engaging pupils through creative and inclusive teaching.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with additional needs
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes progress and wellbeing
Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and support
Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and parents to ensure each child reaches their full potential
Contribute to school life through involvement in extracurricular activities and initiatives

The ideal Teacher of Science will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be an ECT with placement experience
Demonstrate a genuine passion for teaching and child development
Be confident in behaviour management and classroom organisation
Bring creativity, enthusiasm, and strong communication skills to the role
Have a commitment to raising achievement and supporting the wider school community
