An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Fire Safety Surveyor to join a large and well-established housing organisation with a strong commitment to resident safety and building compliance.

This role offers the chance to work within a dedicated fire safety team overseeing a varied residential portfolio across London and the South East. The organisation has invested heavily in building safety and offers a collaborative and supportive working environment alongside flexible hybrid working.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing and progressing fire risk assessment actions, ensuring remedial works are identified, specified and completed within required timescales.

Working closely with contractors, consultants, Fire Authorities and internal stakeholders, you will help ensure properties remain compliant, safe and maintained to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing fire risk assessment actions and remedial works programmes
• Reviewing fire safety defects and preparing technical specifications
• Monitoring contractor performance and quality of completed works
• Carrying out inspections and health & safety spot checks
• Liaising with Fire Authorities regarding Notices of Deficiency
• Providing technical advice on fire safety and construction matters
• Ensuring projects are delivered safely, compliantly and within budget
• Maintaining accurate records and progress updates across systems

Requirements

• Experience within fire safety, building surveying or property compliance
• Strong understanding of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
• Experience overseeing contractors and remedial works
• Ability to produce technical specifications and inspection reports
• Knowledge of construction defects, compliance and building safety legislation
• NEBOSH Fire qualification or equivalent
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
