We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Early Years Practitioner to join a Children’s Centre Hub Team, delivering engaging, high-quality play and communication sessions across children’s centres in Enfield. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children aged 0–4 at a crucial stage in their development. Through creative, interactive, and play-based activities, you will help build strong foundations in communication, language, and early literacy. Your work will play a vital role in supporting children to reach key developmental milestones and be ready for the transition into school.

Key Responsibilities

* Plan and deliver fun, stimulating play-based sessions that promote communication, language, and early literacy skills

* Support children’s individual development to improve outcomes and school readiness

* Accurately record attendance, activities, and session outcomes in line with administrative procedures

* Work collaboratively with colleagues and partners to deliver services aligned with national children’s centre priorities

* Contribute to improving outcomes for children and families, particularly those who may need additional support

Requirements

* NVQ Level 3 in Early Years Education (or equivalent) or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

* Minimum 2 years’ experience in an Early Years or childcare setting

* Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and child development

* Experience delivering activities that support early communication and language development

* Good IT skills and experience with data entry and record keeping

* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

Additional Information

This is a varied and flexible role, requiring you to work across a range of children’s centre locations, including satellite and community venues. You may also be required to undertake some remote or mobile working in line with service needs
