Lead Technician – Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Technician to join a dynamic service and engineering environment. This role is ideal for a technically skilled professional who enjoys a balance of hands-on work and team coordination. Supporting the Service Manager, you will play a key role in driving service excellence, overseeing technical performance, and ensuring projects are delivered efficiently. You will act as a central point of contact across service operations, leading complex diagnostics, supporting field teams, and maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Duties & Responsibilities
Provide hands-on technical support, including fault finding, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance of industrial machinery
Act as a technical escalation point for field-based technicians and subcontractors
Support planning, coordination, and delivery of service projects to meet deadlines
Monitor job progress, identify risks, and take proactive action to resolve issues
Maintain strong communication with customers, internal teams, and external stakeholders
Support recruitment, onboarding, and development of technicians, sharing best practices
Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety standards, and service level agreements
Maintain accurate service documentation, reporting, and job tracking records Education & Skills Required
Strong hands-on technical experience within industrial or service environments
Solid understanding of machinery, diagnostics, and maintenance processes
Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and manage competing priorities
Clear and professional communication skills
Proactive, solution-focused approach to problem solving
