We are currnely looking to recruit a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer (electrical Biased) based in – Leeds (LS9)
Salary: £58,000 per annum (DOE)
Shifts: Rotating Monday–Friday (6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm / 10pm–6am)
A long‑established, industry‑leading packaging manufacturer in Leeds is looking for an Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer to join their high‑performance engineering team. If you’re a skilled engineer with strong electrical expertise and experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, this role offers stability, challenge, and genuine progression.
The role
You’ll be a key engineering contact on shift, supporting production, improving machinery performance, and driving continuous improvement across the site. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll work on a wide range of automated equipment, tackling both reactive and preventative maintenance.
Day‑to‑day you will:
*
Respond to breakdowns and minimise downtime
*
Carry out planned and preventative maintenance
*
Fault‑find across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
*
Work with PLCs to diagnose and repair issues
*
Support improvement projects to boost efficiency, safety and output
*
Ensure compliance with all quality, safety and hygiene standards
*
Assist with installations, commissioning and equipment upgrades
What you’ll need
*
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
*
Strong electrical bias; 17th/18th Edition desirable
*
Experience in manufacturing maintenance
*
Confident fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills
*
Knowledge of PLCs (programming a bonus)
*
Understanding of LEAN, TPM or 5S is beneficial
*
A proactive, organised and team‑focused approach
*
Full driving licence and own transport
