The Opportunity

Are you ready to contribute to one of the UK's most significant megaprojects? Join the expanding Sizewell C (SZC) team and play a pivotal role in the UK's transition to Net Zero. Following the success of Hinkley Point C, the SZC Project is a nuclear new-build development in Suffolk that will provide dependable, low-carbon electricity to 6 million homes for the next 60 years.

We are seeking a high-caliber Baseline and Change Manager to join our Programme Management Office (PMO). You will be at the heart of site delivery, ensuring that project scope, budget, and schedules remain aligned through robust governance and rigorous change control.

The Role

Reporting to the Baseline & Change Lead, you will manage the administration of approved project baselines and facilitate the established Investment Change Committee (ICC) model. Your primary focus will be ensuring that delivery teams operate within the defined governance framework for budget transfers and contingency draw-downs.

Key Responsibilities:

Governance & Process: Act as the central point of contact for change management; coordinate and facilitate change processes across the Delivery Programme.

Baseline Management: Coordinate inputs across Schedule, Cost, and Risk to facilitate end-to-end changes to the baseline and wider Programme contracts.

Committee Facilitation: Support the ICC meetings (typically held monthly), ensuring all change proposals are reviewed for quality and data consistency.

Reporting: Manage monthly reporting cycles and ensure project controls processes are applied consistently across the SZC site.

Degree-level education (or equivalent professional experience).

Substantial experience in Project Controls, Programme Management, or Commercial Management.

Deep understanding of Change Control principles and managing baselines on major infrastructure or regulated projects.

Knowledge of project structures, including WBS and CBS.

Strong facilitation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to operate effectively within a large corporate environment.

Desirable:

Experience in the nuclear sector or on complex construction megaprojects.

Working knowledge of standard forms of contracts and workflow communications between client and contractor.

Proficiency in Project Management software and data reporting tools such as PowerBI.

Professional membership (Chartered status or equivalent) with a recognized institution.

Why Join Sizewell C?

This is an ongoing contract offering a competitive day rate and the chance to work at the cutting edge of energy policy. You will be part of a rewarding environment where your work directly contributes to Britain's energy security and climate change agenda.
