Full-Time
We are The Housing Network (THN), a purpose-driven private limited company providing “More than a Roof” to people rebuilding their lives after homelessness or prison release. We believe everyone deserves safe, stable accommodation and support during difficult times.

We are committed to innovation, reliability, and partnership, working towards Better Accommodation, Better Support, Better Partnerships, and Better Business.

Job Overview

This role supports our Ministry of Justice contract by helping manage self-contained and shared accommodation across Essex.

You will provide cover for team absences, manage properties proactively, and support People on Probation (POP), including those with complex needs, as they transition from prison into accommodation.

The role includes property visits, ensuring house rules and licence agreements are followed, offering housing-related support and signposting, and responding to maintenance or resident issues.

While part of a regional team, this is mainly a lone-working role involving regular travel between properties.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage MOJ accommodation properties, ensuring they are safe, clean, secure, and ready for occupation.

* Support move-in and move-out processes, maintenance coordination, inventory management, and weekly property checks.

* Build positive relationships with residents, manage anti-social behaviour concerns, and support conflict resolution.

* Keep accurate records, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively with colleagues and external agencies.

* Provide compassionate, professional support while maintaining compliance and house standards.

Skills & Experience

* Experience in social housing, support work, probation, prisons, or related sectors preferred.

* Understanding of homelessness, trauma, and complex needs is advantageous.

* Strong communication, organisation, resilience, and ability to work independently.

* Full manual driving licence required.

Values & Benefits

THN values being Innovative, Dynamic, Dependable, Respectful, and Kind. We are committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion, and welcome applicants with lived experience.

Hours: Monday–Friday, 10:00–18:30

Benefits include: Company car, pension, enhanced parental leave, wellbeing programme, paid volunteering time, referral scheme, and sick pay.

All offers are subject to a DBS check
