Due to continued growth, investment and expansion, a leading manufacturer of complex engineered components to the Aerospace, Automotive, Defence and Energy Sectors has a new vacancy for Metrology Engineer to join the team.
The Role
Develop, maintain, and improve measurement and inspection methods.
Operate and program CMMs and other metrology equipment.
Analyse measurement data and produce clear technical reports.
Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities.
Work with the Engineering team to develop new engineering projects to support business development.
Work with and develop strong relationships with internal and external key partners/
Maintain accurate production records and reports.
The Person
Engineering qualification or equivalent experience in Engineering, Metrology, or a related field.
Previous experience in the field of dimensional measurement.
Have a practical ‘hands on’ approach.
Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
Experience of working in precision engineering environment.
An understanding of CMM operation and programming would be beneficial.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to contribute to a team environment
