We are supporting an early-stage deep tech company working in autonomous systems and safety-critical AI.
The business is building assurance technology for autonomous systems. Their platform monitors and constrains behaviour in real time, helping ensure systems stay within defined operational and safety limits even in unpredictable environments.
They are already working with customers in defence and autonomy, including UAVs, multi-agent systems, and mission-critical AI applications.
The role
This is a hands-on engineering position within a small team. You will work across software and systems engineering to support the development of real-time assurance and monitoring technology used in autonomous platforms.
The environment is fast-moving and highly technical, with exposure to cutting-edge autonomy and AI systems.
Key responsibilities
Develop and support real-time monitoring and assurance systems
Work on integration with autonomous platforms and simulation environments
Test and validate system behaviour in edge cases
Contribute across software and systems development
Work closely with technical teams and stakeholders What we are looking for
Engineering background (software, systems, electronics, robotics or similar)
Experience working on complex technical systems
Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with changing priorities
Interest in autonomous systems, AI, or safety-critical engineering Important requirements
Must be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC)
Must have the right to work in the UK What's on offer
£45,000 - £50,000 salary

Exposure to defence and autonomy programmes
Broad technical scope across software and systems
Direct impact on emerging autonomous safety infrastructure
