An established, family-owned manufacturing business with over 40 years of experience is seeking a reliable and skilled Warehouse Operative to join its highly productive warehouse team.
The successful candidate will be calm, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Following written procedures for safe working and standard operating practices
Order picking within an 8,000 sq ft warehouse (approximately 200 picks per day)
Booking in stock and putting away
Transporting stock between manufacturing and warehouse facilities
Stock taking and inventory control
Re-boxing and weighing smaller orders
Booking in returned products
Goods inwards: unloading and storing raw materials
Maintaining high standards of housekeeping
Essential requirements:
Valid forklift licence (Reach and Counterbalance)
Full, clean UK driving licence, to permit you to operate the company van
Experience in a fast-moving warehouse environment
Excellent command of the English language
Trustworthy and able to work with minimal supervision
Calm under pressure with a proactive approach
Courteous and professional when dealing with customers

Uniform provided after qualifying period
