Job Title: Multiskilled Electrical Engineer
Location: Colindale
Salary: Up to £45000 per annum
Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

Overview
We are seeking experienced Multiskilled Electrical Engineers to join a large on-site engineering team at a government buliding. This is an excellent opportunity for electrically biased engineers with strong building services experience to work within a critical and high-profile environment.
The successful candidates will play a key role in maintaining the site’s electrical and mechanical infrastructure, ensuring all systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with statutory regulations.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across electrical and mechanical building systems
* Diagnose and repair faults on electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, emergency lighting, and control panels
* Monitor, operate, and maintain Building Management Systems (BMS)
* Maintain and troubleshoot HVAC equipment including AHUs, FCUs, and temperature control systems
* Perform electrical testing, inspections, and minor installation works
* Support maintenance of pumps, motors, generators, and associated plant equipment
* Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergency situations during night shifts
* Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety regulations and site procedures
* Maintain accurate maintenance logs and technical reports
* Liaise with subcontractors and site management to ensure smooth site operations
* Support continuous improvement and reliability of all critical building services systems
Requirements
* Strong electrical bias with good all-round building services maintenance knowledge
* Experience working with BMS, HVAC systems, AHUs, FCUs, and electrical distribution systems
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification essential
* City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2/3 in Electrical Installation, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
* Experience carrying out both reactive and planned maintenance
* Ability to work independently and confidently during night shifts
* F-Gas certification desirable but not essential
