We are looking for a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a leading manufacturing specialist in Market Weighton near York.
This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for ensuring maximum uptime and operational efficiency through expert fault finding, repair, and proactive maintenance.
You will support a fast-paced production environment by diagnosing complex electrical issues and contributing to long-term reliability projects.
What You’ll Be Doing
Responding to electrical breakdowns quickly to minimise production downtime.
Diagnosing and repairing faults in PLC systems, control panels, drives, motors, and sensors.
Carrying out scheduled electrical Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks.
Ensuring all activities are performed safely by following full LOTO procedures and site safety protocols.
Maintaining accurate maintenance records and supporting condition-based monitoring.
Actively contributing to automation upgrades and efficiency improvement projects.
Assisting with the installation and commissioning of new plant equipment.
What You Need
A time-served Electrical apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications.
Solid experience working within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong technical competence in fault finding on PLCs, inverters, and control systems.
The ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics.
An analytical approach to problem-solving and diagnosing technical faults.
18th Edition certification is highly desirable.
