Immediate Start
Annual Salary
Full-Time
I am working with a growing and well-established transport and logistics organisation who are seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a fleet professional to take ownership of fleet performance, maintenance strategy, supplier management, and operational cost control across a multi-site operation.
The role offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to influence fleet planning, supplier performance, and long-term operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of fleet maintenance and compliance, ensuring vehicles and trailers are maintained to the highest operational and safety standards while remaining fully compliant with Operator's Licence requirements and DVSA regulations. You will oversee servicing schedules, inspections, MOT preparation, defect management, breakdown response, and vehicle downtime, ensuring the fleet remains efficient and operational at all times.
A key focus of the role will be driving commercial performance across the fleet function. This will include negotiating and managing supplier agreements for maintenance, tyres, parts, and breakdown services, alongside implementing effective purchasing and stock control processes to improve visibility and reduce costs. Applicants should possess strong technical knowledge of HGVs, trailers, and associated parts, with the confidence to challenge supplier pricing and recommendations where necessary.
In addition, you will oversee accurate asset allocation across multiple depots to support operational efficiency and financial reporting, while ensuring all maintenance records and compliance documentation are maintained to a high standard and remain audit-ready.

The Candiate:
The successful candidate will be an experienced Fleet Manager (HGV) with strong related compliance awareness and knowledge of road transport regulations.
Transport Manager CPC would be advantageous.
You will be a confident communicator with the ability to coordinate internal and external teams.
UK wide travel will be required for the role so flexibility to do this is required.
